2013 NL All Star Reserves

Here are the National League reserves for the 2013 All Star game:

Catcher Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants is in his second All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .325/.395/.536 with 13 HR, 56 RBI, 38 R, 1 SB in 90 games. For his five season MLB career he has hit  .316/.383/.510 with 59 HR, 247 RBI, 192 R, 5 SB in 398 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants with the fifth pick of the first round in 2008.

Catcher Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves is in his seventh All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .291/.374/.536 with 12 HR, 32 RBI, 22 R, 0 SB in 53 games. For his nine season MLB career he has hit  . He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2002.

First baseman Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .313/.395/.557 with 21 HR, 77 RBI, 60 R, 9 SB in 94 games. For his three season MLB career he has hit  . He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the eighth round in 2009.

First baseman Allen Craig of the St Louis Cardinals is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .333/.378/.494 with 10 HR, 74 RBI, 50 R, 2 SB in 90 gams. For his four season MLB career he has hit  .310/.357/.508 with 47 HR, 219 RBI, 171 R, 9 SB in 328 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the eighth round in 2006.

First baseman Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .308/.386/.468 with 9 HR, 61 RBI, 49 R, 0 SB in 81 games. For his four season MLB career he has hit  .277/.350/.453 with 54 HR, 232 RBI, 210 R, 6 SB in 405 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2007.

Second baseman Matt Carpenter of the St Louis Cardinals is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .321/.394/.497 with 9 HR, 45 RBI, 72 R, 1 SB in 89 games. For his three season MLB career he has hit  .303/.378/.474 with 15 HR, 91 RBI, 116 R, 2 SB in 210 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 13th round in 2009.

Second baseman Marco Scutaro of the San Francisco Giants is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .316/.367/.400 with 2 HR, 22 RBI, 37 R, 0 SB in 81 games. For his 12 season MLB career he has hit  .278/.341/.392 with 77 HR, 500 RBI, 662 R, 53 SB in 1340 games. He originally signed with the Indians as an amateur free agent in 1994 out of Venezuela.

Shortstop Everth Cabrera of the San Diego Padres is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .291/.373/.396 with 4 HR, 25 RBI, 43 R, 34 SB in 79 games. For his five season MLB career he has hit  .252/.333/.343 with 9 HR, 102 RBI, 174 R, 115 SB in 375 games. He originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2004 out of Nicaragua.

Shortstop Jean Segura of the Milwaukee Brewers is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .325/.363/.487 with 11 HR, 36 RBI, 54 R, 27 SB in 92 games. For his two season MLB career he has hit .306/.349/.440 with 11 HR, 50 RBI, 73 R, 34 SB in 137 games. He originally signed with the Angels as an amateur free agent in 2007 out of the Dominican Republic.

Third baseman Pedro Alvarez of the Pittsburgh Pirates is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .250/.311/.516 with 24 HR, 62 RBI, 39 R, 1 SB in 85 games. For his four season MLB career he has hit .240/.311.446 with 74 HR, 230 RBI, 163 R, 3 SB in 403 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the second pick of the first round in 2008.

Outfielder Domonic Brown of the Philadelphia Phillies is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .273/.320/.535 with 23 HR, 67 RBI, 49 R, 8 SB in 95 games. For his four season MLB career he has hit .253/.317/.454 with 35 HR, 215 RBI, 106 R, 13 SB in 242 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 20th round in 2006.

Outfielder Michael Cuddyer of the Colorado Rockies is in his second All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .330/.391/.568 with 16 HR, 55 RBI, 44 R, 6 SB in 74 games. For his 13 season MLB career he has hit .274/.344/.461 with 173 HR, 63 RBI, 703 R, 56 SB in 1314 games. He was originally drafted by the Twins with the ninth pick of the first round in 1997.

Outfielder Carlos Gomez of the Milwaukee Brewers is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .295/.337/.533 with 14 HR, 45 RBI, 51 R, 21 SB in 89 games. For his seven season MLB career he has hit .254/.300/.402 with 58 HR, 243 RBI, 342 R, 151 SB in 765 games. He originally signed with the Mets as an amateur free agent in 2002 out of the Dominican Republic.

Outfielder Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates is in his third All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he hit .302/.376/.471 with 10 HR, 49 RBI, 56 R, 20 SB in 90 games. For his five season MLB career he has hit .292/.374/.482 with 92 HR, 344 RBI, 418 R, 118 SB in 667 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the 11th pick of the first round in 2005.
