Skip Schumaker traded to Dodgers

Skip Schumaker was traded by the St Louis Cardinals to the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 12, 2012. In exchange the Cardinals received Jake Lemmerman.

Schumaker is an OF\2B with eight seasons MLB experience all with the Cardinals. In 2012 he it .276/.339/.368 with 1 HR, 28 RBI, 37 R, 1 SB in 107 games. For his MLB career he has hit .288/.345/.377 with 23 HR, 211 RBI, 340 R, 20 SB in 810 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round in 2001. Schumaker will be 33 on February 3rd.

Lemmerman is a SS\2B who played in 2012 at Double A Chattanooga and hit .233/.347/.378 with 7 HR, 46 RBI, 52 R, 8 SB in 116 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the fifth round in 2010. Lemmerman turned 23 on May 4th.
