Jeremy Hellickson traded to Phillies

Jeremy Hellickson was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Philadelphia Phillies on November 14, 2015. The Diamondbacks in exchange received Sam McWilliams. 

RHP Hellickson split 2015 between Triple A Reno and the Diamondbacks. He was 0-0, 4.50 ERA, 4 K, 1.17 WHIP, .273 BAA in 6.0 IP in 1 game at Reno and 9-12, 4.62 ERA, 121 K, 1.33 WHIP, .264 BAA in 146.0 IP over 27 games with the Diamondbacks. Over six MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks and Rays he was 49-48, 3.94 ERA, 584 K, 1.27 WHIP, .249 BAA in 786.0 IP over 142 games. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the fourth round in 2005. Hellickson turned 28 on April 8th.

RHP McWilliams pitched at Rookie Gulf Coast in 2015. He was 0-2, 3.27 ERA, 21 K, 1.03 WHIP, .232 BAA in 33.0 IP over 7 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the eighth round in 2014. McWilliams turned 20 on September 4th.
