Craig Kimbrel was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Boston Red Sox on November 13, 2015. The Padres in exchange received Carlos Asuaje, Javier Guerra, Logan Allen and Manuel Margot.

He was originally drafted by the Braves in the third round in 2008. Kimbrel turned 27 on May 28.
Asuaje is a 2B\3B\OF who played in 2015 at Double A Portland. He hit .251/.334/.374 with 8 HR, 61 RBI, 60 R, 9 SB in 131 games. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the 11th round in 2013. Asuaje turned 24 on November 2nd.
Guerra is a shortstop who played at Class A Greenville in 2015. He hit .279/.329/.449 with 15 HR, 68 RBI, 64 R, 7 SB in 116 games. He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of Panama. Guerra turned 20 on September 25.
LHP Allen split 2015 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Lowell. He was 0-0, 0.90 ERA, 24 K, 0.65 WHIP, .171 BAA in 20.0 IP over 7 games at Gulf Coast and 0-0, 2.08 ERA, 2 K, 1.38 WHIP, .300 BAA in 4.1 IP in 1 game at Lowell. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the eighth round in 2015. Allen turned 18 on May 23.
Margot is an outfielder who split 2015 between Class A Advanced Salem and Portland. He hit .282/.321/.420 with 3 HR, 17 RBI, 35 R, 20 SB in 46 games at Salem and .271/.326/.419 with 3 HR, 33 RBI, 38 R, 19 SB in 64 games at Portland. He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Margot turned 21 on September 28.
