Ryan Theriot retires

Ryan Theriot announced his retirement from playing baseball in January 2014. Theriot was a SS\2B with eight seasons MLB experience playing with the Cubs (2005-2010), Dodgers (2010), Cardinals (2011) and Giants (2012). He did not play in 2013. For his MLB career he hit .281/.341/.350 with 17 HR, 257 RBI, 446 R, 121 SB in 899 games. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in the third round in 2001. Theriot was 34 at the time of his retirement.
