Johnny Monell traded to Orioles

Johnny Monell was traded by the San Francisco Giants to the Baltimore Orioles on November 30, 2013 in exchange for cash. The C\1B split 2013 between Triple A Fresno and the Giants. He hit .275/.364/.494 with 20 HR, 64 RBI, 71 R, 6 SB in 121 games at Fresno and hit .125/.222/.125 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 8 games with the Giants. He was originally drafted by the Giants in the 30th round in 2007. Monell will be 28 on March 27.
