Jake Elmore traded to Athletics

Jake Elmore was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Oakland Athletics on February 27, 2014 in exchange for cash. The White Sox had claimed him off waivers on November 20, 2013 from the Astros. The 2B\SS had split 2013 between Triple A Oklahoma City and the Astros as he hit .299/.382/.433 with 5 HR, 30 RBI, 42 R, 16 SB in 70 games at Oklahoma City and hit .242/.313/.325 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 16 R, 1 SB in 52 games with the Astros. In two seasons MLB experience between the Astros and Diamondbacks he has hit for his MLB career .223/.290/.298 with 2 HR, 13 RBI, 17 R, 1 SB in 82 games. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 34th round in 2008. Elmore will be 27 on June 15.
