Corey Kluber August 2017 AL Pitcher of the Month

Corey Kluber of the Cleveland Indians was selected the American League Pitcher of the Month for August 2017. During the month he was 5-1, 1.96 ERA, 54 K, 0.63 WHIP, .146 BAA in 46.0 IP over 6 games. He had also earned the award for June. This season the RHP is 14-4, 2.56 ERA, 222 K, 0.90 WHIP, .194 BAA in 168.2 IP over 24 GS. Over seven MLB seasons with the Indians he is 72-48, 3.20 ERA, 1158 K, 1.10 WHIP, .233 BAA in 1056.0 IP over 163 games with 158 GS.  He was originally drafted by the Padres in the fourth round in 2007 and was traded to the Indians in 2010. Kluber turned 31 on April 10.
