Logan Forsythe traded to Dodgers

Logan Forsythe was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 23, 2017. The Rays in exchange received Jose De Leon.

Forsythe is a 2B\3B\1B who split 2016 between Triple A Durham while rehabbing and the Rays. He hit 2 for 5, .400/.571/1.000 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 SB in 2 games at Durham and .264/.333/.444 with 20 HR, 52 RBI, 76 R, 6 SB in 127 games with the Rays. Over six MLB seasons with the Rays and Padres he hit .255/.326/.395 with 55 HR, 203 RBI, 256 R, 34 SB in 618 games. He was originally drafted by the Padres with the 46th pick of the first round in 2008 and was traded to the Rays in 2014. Forsythe turned 30 on January 14.

RHP De Leon split 2016 between Triple A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers. He was 7-1, 2.61 ERA, 111 K, 0.94 WHIP, .194 BAA in 86.1 IP over 16 games at Oklahoma City and 2-0, 6.35 ERA, 15 K, 1.53 WHIP, .288 BAA in 17.0 IP over 4 games with the Dodgers. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 24th round in 2013. De Leon turned 24 on August 7th.
