Mikie Mahtook was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Detroit Tigers on January 18, 2017 for a PTBNL. The outfielder split 2016 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Advanced Charlotte while rehabbing, Triple A Durham and the Rays. Mahtook turned 27 on November 30.
