Brett Eibner traded to Dodgers

Brett Eibner was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 25, 2017. The Athletics in exchange received Jordan Tarosvich.

Eibner is an outfielder who split 2016 between Triple A Omaha and Kansas City Royals before being traded on July 30 and split the remainder with Triple A Nashville and the Athletics. He hit .288/.385/.516 with 11 HR, 32 RBI, 37 R, 5 SB in 50 games at Omaha, .231/.286/.423 with 3 HR, 10 RBI, 11 R, 0 SB in 26 games with the Royals, 4 for 13, .308/.500/.692 with 1 HR, 2 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 4 games at Nashville and .165/.252/.303 with 3 HR, 12 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 44 games with the Athletics. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the second round in 2010. Eibner turned 28 on December 2nd.

Tarosvich is a third baseman who split 2016 between Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and Double A Tulsa. He hit .223/.325/.417 with 5 HR, 16 RBI, 13 R, 1 SB in 31 games at Rancho Cucamonga and .219/.325/.343 with 4 HR, 16 RBI, 23 R, 6 SB in 59 games at Tulsa. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 22nd round in 2015. Tarsovich will be 26 on June 20.
