Carlos Frias traded to Indians
Carlos Frias was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Cleveland Indians on January 30, 2017 for cash. The RHP split 2016 between Double A Tulsa, Triple A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers. He was 0-0, 1.29 ERA, 5 K, 0.43 WHIP, .130 BAA in 7.0 IP over 2 GS at Tulsa, 3-3, 4.56 ERA, 27 K, 1.32 WHIP, .274 BAA in 36.1 IP over 8 games with 4 GS at Oklahoma City and 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 K, 0.75 ERA, .143 BAA in 4.0 IP in 1 game with the Dodgers. Over three MLB seasons with the Dodgers he was 6-6, 4.50 ERA, 75 K, 1.38 WHIP, .280 BAA in 114.0 IP over 33 games with 15 GS. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 2008 as an amatuer free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Frias turned 27 on November 13.
