Ryan Cook traded to Red Sox
Ryan Cook was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Boston Red Sox on July 31, 2015 for a PTBNL. The RHP had split 2015 between Triple A Nashville and the Athletics. He was 4-1, 4.05 ERA, 26 K, 1.38 WHIP, .258 BAA, 8 SV in 33.1 IP over 30 games at Nashville and 0-2, 10.38 ERA, 3 K, 2.31 WHIP, .350 BAA in 4.1 IP over 4 games with the Athletics. Over five MLV seasons with the Athletics and Diamondbacks he was 13-12, 2.93 ERA, 207 K, 1.18 WHIP, .208 BAA, 17 SV in 202.2 IP over 212 games. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 27th round in 2008 and traded to the Athletics in 2011. Cooke turned 28 on June 30.
