Eric Young Jr traded to Mets

Eric Young Jr was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the New York Mets on August 22, 2015 for cash. The outfielder had split 2015 between Triple A Gwinnett and the Braves. He hit .248/.349/.312 with 1 HR, 27 RBI, 36 R, 23 SB in 67 games at Gwinnett and.169/.229/.273 with 0 HR, 5 RBI, 7 R, 3 SB in 35 games with the Mets. Over seven MLB seasons with the Braves, Mets and Rockies he has hit .248/.316/.329 with 8 HR, 88 RBI, 228 R, 141 SB in 539 games. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 30th round in 2003. Young turned 30 on May 25.
