Chris Johnson traded to Indians

Chris Johnson was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Cleveland Indians on August 7, 2015. The Braves in exchange received Michael Bourn, Nick Swisher and cash.

Johnson is a 3B\1B who hit .235/.272/.320 with 2 HR, 11 RBI, 12 R, 2 SB in 56 games with the Braves in 2015. Over seven MLB seasons with the Indians, Braves, Diamondbacks and Astros he has hit .280/.316/.413 with 57 HR, 308 RBI, 230 R, 18 SB in 700 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the fourth round in 2006, was traded to the Diamondbacks in 2012 and traded to the Braves in 2013. Johnson will be 31 on October 1st.

Bourn is an outfielder who hit .246/.313/.294 with 0 HR, 19 RBI, 29 R, 13 SB in 95 games with the Indians in 2015. Over 10 MLB seasons with the Braves, Indians, Astros and Phillies he has hit .267/.331/.359 with 31 HR, 312 RBI, 620 R, 322 SB in 1203 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the 19th round in 2000, traded to the Phillies in 2003, traded to the Astros in 2007, traded to the Braves in 2011 and signed with the Braves as a free agent in 2013. Bourn turned 32 on December 27.

Swisher is an OF\1B who had split 2015 between Class A Lake County, Double A Akron and Triple A Columbus while rehabbing and with the Indians. He was originally drafted by the Athletics with the 16th pick of the first round in 2002, traded to the White Sox in January 2008, traded to the Yankees in November 2008 and signed with the Indians in 2013 as a free agent. Swisher turned 34 on November 25.
