Dawrin Frias traded to Athletics
Dawrin Frias was traded by the New York Mets to the Oakland Athletics on August 7, 2015 to complete an earlier deal for Eric O'Flaherty. The RHP had split 2015 between Class A Savannah and Class A short season Brooklyn. He was 0-2, 8.71 ERA, 22 K, 2.18 WHIP, .341 BAA, 1 SV in 20.2 IP over 15 games at Savannah and 0-0, 3.38 ERA, 10 K, 1.13 WHIP, .161 BAA in 8.0 IP over 4 games at Brooklyn. He originally signed with the Mets in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Frias turned 23 on February 18.
