Madison Bumgarner and Erick Aybar are the latest players to sign contract extensions with their current teams.
Bumgarner signed a six year extension with the San Francisco Giants for $36.56 million. The LHP is starting his fourth season with the Giants. For his career he is 23-20 with a 3.09 ERA, 298 K, 1.23 WHIP in 350.0 IP over 59 games. He was originally draftedd by the Giants with the 10th pick of the first round in 2007. Bumgarner will turn 23 on August 1st.
Aybar signed a four year extension with the Los Angeles Angels for $35 million. The shortstop and second baseman is starting his seventh season with the Angels. For his career he has hit .275/.318/.378 with 24 HR, 211 RBI, 292 R, 79 SB in 644 games. He originally signed with the Angels as an amateur free agent in 2002 out of the Dominican Republic. Aybar turned 28 on January 14.
