Jason Frasor traded to Blue Jays

Jason Frasor was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Toronto Blue Jays on January 1, 2012. In exchange the White Sox receive minor league players Myles Jaye and Daniel Webb.


RHP Frasor pitched part of one one season for the White Sox after the previous seven with the Blue Jays. He had been traded from the Blue Jays to the White Sox  on July 27, 2011. In 2011 he was 2-1 with a 2.98 ERA, 37 strikeouts and 1.25 WHIP in 42.1 innings over 44 games with the Blue Jays and was 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA, 20 strikeouts, and 1.75 WHIP in 17.2 innings over 20 games with the White Sox. For his career he is 25-30 with a 3.74 ERA, 446 strikeouts, 1.31 WHIP and 36 saves in 478.2 innings over 475 games. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the 33rd round in 1999.


RHP Jaye pitched the 2011 season at Rookie ball. He was 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA, 49 strikeouts, 1.22 WHIP and one save in 54 innings over 13 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 17th round in 2010.


RHP Webb split the 2011 season between Rookie ball and Class A. He was 0-0 with a 0.00, zero strikeouts and 1.50 WHIP in 1.1 innings in one game at Rookie ball and was 4-5 with a 5.59 ERA, 51 strikeouts and 1.58 WHIP in 66 innings over 18 games at Class A. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 18th round in 2009.
