Greg Reynolds traded to Rangers

Greg Reynolds was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Texas Rangers on January 5, 2012. In exchange the Rockies receive minor league player Chad Tracy.


RHP Reynolds pitched two seasons for the Rockies. He split the 2011 season between Triple A and the Rockies. He was 6-7 with a 6.81 ERA, 65 strikeouts and 1.75 WHIP in 62 innings over 14 games at Triple A and was 3-0 with a 6.19 ERA, 18 strikeouts and 1.56 WHIP in 32 innings over 13 games with the Rockies. For his career he is 5-8 with a 7.47 ERA, 40 strikeouts and 1.69 WHIP in 94 innings over 27 games.He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the second pick of the first round in 2006.


Tracy played first base and outfield at Triple A in 2011. He hit .259/.339/.475 with 26 home runs, 109 RBI, 80 runs and 4 steals in 134 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the third round in 2006.
