The Colorado Rockies top prospect was LHP Franklin Morales. He originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2002. He was traded to the Red Sox on May 19, 2011. He pitched for both the Rockies and Red Sox in 2011 as he was 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA, 11 strikeouts and 1.29 WHIP in 14 innings over 14 games with the Rockies and was 1-1 with a 3.62 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 1.27 WHIP in 32.1 innings over36 games with the Red Sox.

The San Diego Padres top prospect was third baseman Chase Headley. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the second round in 2005. He played 2011 with the Padres and hit .289/.374/.399 with four home runs, 44 RBI, 43 runs and 13 steals in 113 games.

The San Francisco Giants top prospect was third baseman Angel Villalona. He originally signed with the Giants as an amateur free agent in 2006 out of the Dominican Republic. He last played in 2009 at Class A Advanced when his career was sidetracked with legal issue in the Domican Republic. The charges were dropped in November 2011 and he is now back on the Giants 40 man roster.
