Brad Emaus traded to Red Sox.
Brad Emaus was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Boston Red Sox on January 11, 2012 for a player to be named later or cash. Emaus is a second baseman that spent a lot of time on the transaction wire in 2011. He started the season with the Mets after being picked up in the Rule 5 draft, then was returned to the Blue Jays on April 21 and he was traded to the Rockies on April 22. He hit .162/.262/.162 with zero home runs, one RBI, two runs and zero steals in 14 games with the Mets and hit .313/.389/.564 with nine home runs, 28 RBI, 37 runs and 3 steals in 45 games with the Rockies Triple A team. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 11th round in 2007.
