Jake Arrieta April 2016 NL Pitcher of the Month

Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs was selected the National League Pitcher of the Month for April 2016. During the month the RHP was 5-0, 1.00 ERA, 32 K, 0.78 WHIP, .151 BAA in 36.0 IP over 5 games.  He also pitched a no hitter against the Dodgers on April 21. Over seven MLB seasons with the Cubs and Orioles he is 61-38, 3.58 ERA, 749 K, 1.16 WHIP, .224 BAA in 831.1 IP over 141 games with 135 GS. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the fifth round in 2007 and was traded to the Cubs in 2013. Arrieta turned 30 on March 6th.
