Kyle Lobstein traded to Pirates

Kyle Lobstein was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 21, 2015 for cash. The LHP split 2015 between Class A Advanced Lakeland, Triple A Toledo and the Tigers. He was 0-1, 3.52 ERA, 4 K, 1.17 WHIP, .269 BAA in 7.2 IP over 2 games at Lakeland, 0-2, 6.62 ERA, 13 K, 1.98 WHIP, .347 BAA in 17.2 IP over 4 games at Toledo and 3-8, 5.94 ERA, 32 K, 1.59 WHIP, .305 BAA in 63.2 IP over 13 games with the Tigers. Over three MLB seasons with the Pirates and Tigers he is 6-10, 5.24 ERA, 73 K, 1.46 WHIP, .278 BAA in 123.2 IP over 30 games with 17 GS. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the second round in 2008. Lobstein will be 27 on August 12.
