Jason Rogers traded to Pirates

Jason Rogers was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 17, 2015, The Brewers in exchange received Keon Broxton and Trey Supak.

Rogers is a first baseman who split 2015 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Brewers. He hit .344/.449/.607 with 8 HR, 24 RBI, 25 R, 0 SB in 33 games at Colorado Springs and .296/.367/.441 with 4 HR, 16 RBI, 22 R, 0 SB in 86 games with the Brewers. Over two MLB seasons with the Brewers he hit .286/.358/.429 with 1 HR, 16 RBI, 22 R, 0 SB in 94 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 32nd round in 2010. Rogers turned 28 on March 13.

Broxton is an outfielder who split 2015 between Double A Altoona, Triple A Indianapolis and the Pirates. He hit .302/.365/.464 with 3 HR, 26 RBI, 35 R, 11 SB in 45 games at Altoona, .256/.352/.423 with 7 HR, 42 RBI, 51 R, 28 SB in 88 games at Indianapolis and was hitless in two at bats over seven games with the Pirates. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the third round in 2009 and was traded to the Pirates in 2014. Broxton turned 26 on May 7th.

RHP Supak pitched in 2015 at Rookie Bristol where he was 1-2, 6.67 ERA, 23 K, 1.41 WHIP, .304 BAA in 28.1 IP over 8 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirated in the second round in 2014. Supak will be 20 on May 31.
