Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels was selected the American League Player of the Month for July 2015. During the month the outfielder hit 29 for 79, .367/.462/.861 with 1 2B, 1 3B, 12 HR, 24 RBI, 20 R, 1 SB and 10 BB in 21 games. This season he has hit .309/.399/.627 with 32 HR, 67 RBI, 76 R, 10 SB in 101 games. Over five MLB seasons with the Angels he has hit .306/.396/.562 with 130 HR, 374 RBI, 449 R, 112 SB in 594 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels with the 25th pick of the first round in 2009. Trout will be 24 on August 7th.
