Carlos Gonzalez July 2015 NL Player of the Month

Carlos Gonzalez of the Colorado Rockies was selected the National League Player of the Month for July 2015. During the month the outfielder hit 34 for 88, .386/.438/.841 with 7 2B, 11 HR, 24 RBI, 20 R, 0 SB and 8 BB in 23 games. This season he has hit .278/.338/.522 with 21 HR, 53 RBI, 53 R, 2 SB in 96 games. Over eight MLB seasons with the Rockies and Athletics he has hit .292/.350/.521 with 157 HR, 510 RBI, 536 R, 112 SB in 857 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2002 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela, was traded to the Athletics in 2007 and traded to the Rockies in 2008. Gonzalez will be 30 on October 17.
