Jonathan Broxton traded to Cardinals

Jonathan Broxton was traded by the Milwuakee Brewers to the St Louis Cardinals on July 31, 2015. The Brewers in exchange received Malik Collymore.

RHP Broxton was 1-2, 5.89 ERA, 37 K, 1.39 WHIP, .287 BAA in 36.2 IP over 40 games with the Brewers in 2015. Over 11 MLB seasons with the Brewers, Reds, Royals and Dodgers he was 36-32, 3.25 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, .228 BAA, 118 SV in 576.0 IP over 582 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the second round in 2002. Broxton turned 31 on June 16.

Collymore is an outfielder who played at Rookie Johnson City where he hit .216/.326/.378 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, 9 R, 3 SB in 23 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 10th round round in 2013. Collymore turned 20 on April 29.
