Gerardo Parra traded to Orioles

Gerardo Parra was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to the Baltimore Orioles on July 31, 2015. The Brewers in exchange received Zach Davies.

Parra is an outfielder who hit .328/.369/.517 with 9 HR, 31 RBI, 53 R, 9 SB in 100 games with the Brewers in 2015. Over seven MLB seasons with the Brewers and Diamondbacks he hit .279/.330/.407 with 51 HR, 291 RBI, 399 R, 64 SB in 933 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2004 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela and was traded to the Brewers in 2014. Parra turned 28 on May 6th.

RHP Davies pitched at Triple A Norfolk where he was 5-6, 2.84 ERA, 81 K, 1.22 WHIP, .241 BAA in 101.1 IP over 19 games in 2015. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 26th round in 2011. Davies turned 22 on February 7th.
