This is the 11th segment of 2014 as I continue to follow Bubba Starling and Fred Ford as they make their way up the minor league ranks of the Kansas City Royals. Starling starts off 2014 at Class A Advanced Wilmington as the Red Rocks were 33-35 in the first half and are 4-6 in the second half. Ford is repeating time at Class A Lexington as the Legends finished the first half 29-41 and are 3-7 in the second half.
Bubba had two multi hit games as he hit 6 for 28 with 2 HR, 2 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB in 7 games. For the season he is hitting .203/.288/.329 with 5 HR, 35 RBI, 43 R, 10 SB in 75 games
Fred hit 5 for 22 with two doubles, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 1 SB in 7 games. For the season he is hitting .220/.309/.382 with 7 HR, 34 RBI, 31 R, 8 SB in 71 games.
