Future Blips Pioneer League 2012

I'm looking at some of the stat leaders in the Pioneer League. Currently they aren't even on the Major League radar but if they keep progressing they may be in the show in a few years.

David Dahl is an outfielder with the Rockies Rookie team in Grand Junction. He led the league in batting average and hit .379/.423/.625 with 9 HR, 57 RBI, 62 R, 12 SB in 67 games. He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the tenth pick of the first round in 2012. Dahl turned 18 on April 1st.

Julian Yan is an outfielder with the Rockies Rookie team in Grand Junction. He led the league in home runs and hit .282/.357/.529 with 16 HR, 57 RBI, 50 R, 9 SB in 66 games. He originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2008 out of the Dominican Republic. Yan will be 21 on November 27.

Malcolm Holland is an outfielder with the Dodgers Rookie team in Ogden. He led the league in steals and hit .244/.421/.275 with 0 HR, 15 RBI, 46 R, 44 SB in 60 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 33rd round in 2011. Holland turned 20 on June 18.

Eddie Butler is a RHP with the Rockies Rookie team in Grand Junction. He lead the league in ERA and WHIP and was 7-1 with a 2.13 ERA, 55 K, 1.06 WHIP in 67.2 IP over 13 games. He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the 46th pick of the first round in 2012. Butler turned 21 on March 13.

Sam Selman is a LHP with the Royals Rookie team in Idaho Falls. He led the league in strikeouts and was 5-4 with a 2.09 ERA, 89 K, 1.10 WHIP in 60.1 IP over 13 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the second round in 2012. Selman will be 22 on November 14.
