Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels reached the 600 home run milestone on June 3, 2017 in a 7-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. For the game he was 1 for 4 with 1 HR, 4 RBI and 1 run while hitting third and batting as the DH. The 600th home run was a grand slam off Ervin Santana in the fourth inning as Ben Revere, Eric Young Jr and Kole Calhoun were on base.
Pujols became the ninth MLB player to reach the mark. This season he is hitting 51 for 205, .249/.299/.410 with 9 HR, 42 RBI, 18 R, 1 SB in 51 games. For his MLB career with the Angels and St Louis Cardinals he has hit .308/.390/.569 with 600 HR, 1859 RBI, 1688 R, 108 SB in 2477 games. 445 of his home runs came with the Cardinals over 1705 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 13th round in 1999. Pujols turned 37 on January 16.
