Sam Dyson traded to Giants
Sam Dyson was traded by the Texas Rangers to the San Francisco Giants on June 6, 2017 along with cash for a PTBNL. The RHP had split 2017 between Triple A Round Rock and the Rangers. He was 0-0, 4.50 ERA, 2 K, 1.50 WHIP, .250 BAA in 2.0 IP over 2 games at Round Rock and 1-6, 10.80 ERA, 7 K, 2.58 WHIP, .392 BAA in 16.2 IP over 17 games with the Rangers. Over six MLB seasons with the Rangers, Marlins and Blue Jays he was 12-15, 3.54 ERA, 172 K, 1.38 WHIP, .265 BAA, 40 SV in 216.0 IP over 203 games with 1 GS. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the fourth round in 2010. Dyson turned 29 on May 7th.
