Ruben Tejada traded to Orioles

Ruben Tejada was traded by the New York Yankees to the Baltimore Orioles on June 4, 2017 for cash. The shortstop hit 35 for 130, .269/.345/.462 with 6 HR, 21 RBI, 22 R, 0 SB in 37 games at Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2017. Over seven MLB seasons with the Giants, Cardinals and Mets he hit .252/.326/.320 with 10 HR, 153 RBI, 207 R, 16 SB in 617 games. He originally signed with the Mets in 2006 as an amateur free agent out of Panama. Tejada turned 27 on October 27.
