Felix Doubront traded to Athletics

Felix Doubront was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Oakland Athletics on July 31, 2015 for cash. The LHP had split 2015 between Triple A Buffalo and the Blue Jays. He was 1-3, 2.44 ERA, 43 K, 1.13 WHIP, .205 BAA in 48.0 IP over 9 games at Buffalo and 1-1, 4.76 ERA, 13 K, 1.63 WHIP, .340 BAA in 22.2 IP over 5 games with the Blue Jays. Over six MLB seasons with the Blue Jays, Cubs and Red Sox he was 29-24, 4.78 ERA, 399 K, 1.48 WHIP, .270 BAA, 3 SV in 461.0 IP over 107 games with 77 GS. He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2004 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Doubront will be 28 on October 23.
