Answer is Marwin Gonzalez

Marwin Gonzalez will now be tied to Yu Darvish as the player that broke up his perfect game with two outs in the ninth inning. Darvish was on the verge of baseball history in his first outing of the season for the Rangers against the Astros. Only one out away from becoming the 24th pitcher in 135 years of MLB history to pitch a perfect game. His final line for the game was 8.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 14 K. Gonzalez finished the game 1 for 3 while batting in the ninth spot and playing shortstop. The Rangers beat the Astros 7-0. Both Darvish and Gonzalez are entering their second MLB season.

RHP Darvish made a big splash in 2012 by signing with the Rangers after being a star in Japan. In his first season he was an impressive 16-9, 3.90 ERA, 221 K, 1.28 WHIP in 191.1 IP over 29 games. Darvish is entering his prime as he will be 27 on August 16.

Gonzalez is the definition of utility as he plays shortstop, third and second. He split 2012 between Triple A Oklahoma City and the Astros. He hit .333/.395/.513 with 1 HR, 10 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 13 games at Oklahoma City and hit .234/.280/.327 with 2 HR, 12 RBI, 21 R, 3 SB in 80 games. He originally signed with the Cubs as an amateur free agent in 2005 out of Venezuela. Gonzalez turned 24 on March 14.
