Doug Bernier 5 for 5 vs Chiefs 042513
Doug Bernier of the Rochester Red wings was 5 for 5 in a 10-7 victory over the Syracuse Chiefs on April 25, 2013. Rochester is the Triple A team of the Minnesota Twins. For the game he was 5 for 5 with a double, 4 RBI and one run while playing shortstop in the second game of a double header. He went 2 for 4 in the first game which Rochester also won 10-5 in 11 innings. For the season he is now hitting .311/.404/.333 with 0 HR, 7 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB in 17 games. Last season he played with the Yankees Triple A team Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he hit .201/.307/.243 with 0 HR, 10 RBI, 13 R, 1 SB in 58 games. He originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2002. Bernier will be 33 on June 24.
