Aaron Harang traded to Mariners

Aaron Harang was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Seattle Mariners on April 11, 2013. He had been traded to the Rockies the previous week by the Dodgers. In exchange the Rockies received Steven Hensley and cash.

RHP Harang has 11 seasons MLB experience pitching with the Dodgers, Padres, Reds and Athletics. In 2012 he was 10-10, 3.61 ERA, 131 K, 1.40 WHIP in 179.2 IP over 31 games with the Dodgers. For his MLB career he is 105-104, 4.19 ERA, 1460 K, 1.35 WHIP in 1802.0 IP over 299 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the sixth round in 1999. Harang will be 35 on May 9th.

RHP Hensley was with Triple A Tacoma at the time of the trade. He was 0-0, 3.38 ERA, 0 K, 1.50 WHIP in 2.2 IP over 2 games with Tacoma. He had split 2012 between Double A Jackson and  Tacoma. He was 2-2, 3.24 ERA, 36 K, 1.23 WHIP, 2 SV in 33.1 IP over 20 games at Jackson and was 2-4, 6.27 ERA, 22 K, 1.53 WHIP in 37.1 IP over 24 games at Tacoma. He was originally drafted by the Mariners in the fourth round in 2008. Hensley turned 26 on December 27.
