Phil Gosselin traded to Pirates

Phil Gosselin was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 10, 2017. The Diamondbacks in exchange received Frank Duncan. 

Gosselin is a 2B\3B who hit .277/.324/.368 with 2 HR, 13 RBI, 26 R, 3 SB in 122 games with the Diamondbacks in 2016. Over four MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks and Braves he hit .283/.331/.385 with 6 HR, 31 RBI, 64 R, 7 SB in 216 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the fifth round in 2010 and traded to the Diamondbacks in 2015. Gosselin turned 28 on October 3rd. 

RHP Duncan split 2016 between Double A Altoona and Triple A Indianapolis. He was 3-2, 2.36 ERA, 24 K, 1.13 WHIP, .228 BAA in 26.2 IP over 7 games with 2 GS at Altoona and 9-6, 2.33 ERA, 92 K, 1.21 WHIP, .251 BAA in 112.0 IP over 20 GS at Indianapolis. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 13th round in 2014. Duncan turned 25 on January 30.
