Richard Bleier was traded by the New York Yankees to the Baltimore Orioles on February 21, 2017 for a PTBNL or cash. The LHP split 2016 between Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and the Yankees. He was 2-3, 3.72 ERA, 25 K, 1.33 WHIP, .292 BAA, 1 SV in 58.0 IP over 12 games with 10 GS at SWB and 0-0, 1.96 ERA, 13 K, 1.04 WHIP, .233 BAA in 23.0 IP over 23 games with the Yankees. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the sixth round in 2008. Bleier will be 30 on April 16.
