Pat Light traded to Pirates
Pat Light was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 9, 2017 for a PTBNL. The RHP had split 2016 between Triple A Pawtucket and the Red Sox before being traded in August and split the remainder of the season with Triple A Rochester and the Twins. He was 1-1, 2.32 ERA, 36 K, 1.23 WHIP, .188 BAA, 7 SV in 31.0 IP over 25 games at Pawtucket, 0-0, 23.63 ERA, 2 K, 3.00 WHIP, .438 BAA in 2.2 IP over 2 games with the Red Sox, 1-0, 2.57 ERA, 6 K, 1.00 WHIP, .200 BAA, 2 SV in 7.0 IP over 6 games at Rochester and 0-1, 9.00 ERA, 14 K, 2.14 WHIP, .259 BAA in 14.0 IP over 15 games with the Twins. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox with the 37th pick of the first round in 2012. Light will be 26 on March 29.
