Mauricio Llovera of the Gulf Coast Blue Jays was selected the Gulf Coast League August 2016 Player of the Month.  For the month he was 4-0, 0.72 ERA, 30 K, 0.72 WHIP, .161 BAA in 25.0 IP over 5 games. This season the RHP is 7-1, 1.87 ERA, 56 K, 0.96 WHIP, .205 BA in 53.0 IP over 11 games. Gulf Coast is a Rookie team of the Philadelphia Phillies. He originally signed with the Phillies in 2014 as an amateur free agent out of the Venezuela. Llovera turned 20 on April 17.
