Jairo Beras California League August 2016 POM

Jairo Beras of the High Desert Mavericks was selected the California League August 2016 Player of the Month. For the month he hit 29 for 93, .312/.365/.731 with 11 2B, 2 3B, 8 HR, 29 RBI, 23 R, 1 SB and 10 BB in 25 games. This season the outfielder is hitting .262/.306/.511 with 22 HR, 78 RBI, 71 R, 5 SB in 107 games.  High Desert is the Class A Advanced team of the Texas Rangers. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Beras turned 21 on December 25.
