Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves was selected the National League Player of the Week for the span of September 19, 2016 through September 25, 2016. For the week he hit 11 for 22, .500/.593/.909 with 3 2B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 5 R, 2 SB and 5 BB. He had also earned the award for the weeks of June 13 and August 29. This season the first baseman has hit .305/.402/.570 with 32 HR, 87 RBI, 96 R, 6 SB in 152 games. Over seven MLB seasons with the Braves he has hit .288/.373/.484 with 136 HR, 511 RBI, 501 R, 19 SB in 903 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2007. Freeman turned 27 on September 12.
