Edward Salcedo traded to Pirates

Edward Salcedo was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 6, 2015. In exchange the Braves received Bryton Trepagnier. 

Salcedo is a 3B\OF who split 2014 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Triple A Gwinnett. He hit .211/.250/.579 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, 2 R, 1 SB in 5 games at Gulf Coast and .212/.294/.357 with 10 HR, 44 RBI, 50 R, 13 SB in 110 games at Gwinnett. He was originally signed by the Braves in 2010 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Salcedo will be 24 on July 30.

RHP Trepagnier pitched in 2014 at Class A Advanced Bradenton where he was 4-1, 2.53 ERA, 40 K, 1.26 WHIP, .190 BAA, 9 SV in 53.1 IP over 38 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 41st round in 2010. Trepagnier will be 24 on September 18.
