Michael Young retires
Michael Young announced his retirement from playing baseball in January 2014. The SS\3B\2B Had 14 seasons MLB experience playing with the Rangers (2000-2012), Phillies (2013) and Dodgers (2013). In 2013 he hit .276/.336/.395 with 8 HR, 42 RBI, 49 R, 1 SB in 126 games with the Phillies and hit .314/.321/.392 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 21 games with the Dodgers. For his MLB career he hit .300/.346/.441 with 185 HR, 1030 RBI, 1137 R, 90 SB in 1970 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the fifth round in 1997. Young was 37 at the time of his retirement.
