Yordano Ventura was the Kansas City Royals Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2013. The RHP split 2013 between Double A Northwest Arkansas, Triple A Omaha and the Royals. He was 3-2, 2.34 ERA, 74 K, 1.02 WHIP in 57.2 IP over 11 games at Northwest Arkansas, was 5-4, 3.74 ERA, 81 K, 1.47 WHIP in 77.0 IP over 15 games at Omaha and was 0-1, 3.52 ERA, 11 K, 1.24 WHIP in 15.1 IP over 3 games with the Royals. He originally signed with the Royals in 2008 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Ventura will be 23 on June 3rd.
