Austin Jackson traded to Cubs
Austin Jackson was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Chicago Cubs on August 31, 2015 along with cash for a PTBNL and an international bonus slot. The outfielder had split 2015 between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners. He hit .263/.333/.289 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 4 R, 1 SB in 9 games at Tacoma and .272/.312/.387 with 8 HR, 38 RBI, 46 R, 15 SB in 107 games with the Mariners. Over six MLB seasons with the Mariners and Tigers he hit .273/.333/.400 with 54 HR, 286 RBI, 512 R, 104 SB in 831 games. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the eighth round in 2005, was traded to the Tigers in 2009 and traded to the Mariners in 2014. Jackson turned 28 on February 1st.
