Andrew McCutchen August 2015 NL Player of the Month

Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates was selected the National League Player of the Month for August 2015. During the month the outfielder hit 32 for 92, .348/.470/.609 with 7 2B, 1 3B, 5 HR, 19 RBI, 18 R, 2 SB and 20 BB in 27 games. This season he is hitting .303/.404/.517 with 20 HR, 85 RBI, 76 R, 7 SB in 128 games. Over seven MLB seasons with the Pirates he has hit .299/.388/.500 with 148 HR, 547 RBI, 624 R, 150 SB in 1008 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the 11th pick of the first round in 2005. McCutchen will be 29 on October 10.
