Alejandro De Aza traded to Giants

Alejandro De Aza was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the San Francisco Giants on August 31, 2015. The Red Sox in exchange received Luis Ysla. 

De Aza is an outfielder who had split 2015 between the Orioles and Red Sox. He hit .214/.277/.359 with 3 HR, 7 RBI, 16 R, 2 SB in 30 games with the Orioles. was traded to the Red Sox and hit .292/.347/.484 with 4 HR, 25 RBI, 23 R, 3 SB in 60 games. Over eight MLB seasons with the Red Sox, Orioles, White Sox and Marlins he hit .267/.329/.407 with 45 HR, 221 RBI, 316 R, 84 SB in 656 games. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 2001 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. De Aza turned 31 on April 11.

LHP Ysla pitched at Class A Advanced San Jose where he was 3-6, 6.21 ERA, 95 K, 1.88 WHIP, .329 BAA in 79.2 IP over 33 games with 9 GS. He originally signed with the Giants in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Ysla turned 23 on April 27.
