Miguel Sano August 2015 AL Rookie of the Month

Miguel Sano of the Minnesota Twins was selected the American League Rookie of the Month for August 2015. During the month the 3B\1B hit 27 for 97, .278/.377/.629 with 7 2B, 9 HR, 26 RBI, 18 R, 1 SB and 16 BB in 27 games. This season he has hit .274/.374/.544 with 15 HR, 48 RBI, 55 R, 5 SB in 66 games at Double A Chattanooga and .296/.405/.620 with 15 HR, 42 RBI, 33 R, 1 SB in 51 games with the Twins. He originally signed with the Twins in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Sano turned 22 on May 11.
